Farah Barqawi is a Palestinian author, interpreter, translator and editor born in Yarmouk; a refugee camp in Syria. She currently lives in Cairo, having lived in Gaza, Dubai, Beirut and Chicago. She is co-founder of the movement “Le soulèvement de la femme dans le monde arabe” as well as “Wiki Gender”. She writes poetry, prose and also articles. Her texts are published on her blog “Bayni w Baynak – Between you and me”, and in various publications in lines and in paper version such as the cultural magazine Romman, Mada Masr, Jeem, “Les écrivaines du placard” (Ikhtiyar). ..
