Born in Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria, Nassima Moucheni takes advantage of her biculturalism to enhance her critical thinking. After years of practicing belly-dancing, she founded the Nmara Company in 2013 and created her first contemporary choreographic performance Mar’a. Approaching dance enquiringly has become a major challenge in her artistic research; the key to enrich her expressive form and widen her work to new prospects. Nassima’s dance is a subtle mix of oriental influence and contemporary writing. Her artwork is titled “Something Moving”.
